What is CRS?
|
How is the CRS designation achieved?
It is awarded by the Residential Sales Council of the National Association of Realtors, and is considered the highest designation in the industry. It identifies a special level of professional expertise. Every CRS has undergone rigorous, specialized training aimed at making residential transactions as smooth and worry-free as possible. If my memory is accurate, when I qualified I had to document 125 transactions in which I had participated. Only 3% to 5% of Realtors nation wide have qualified for this designation.
What advantage does the CRS qualification offer you?
Permit me to quote the Residential Sales Council:
A CRS brings special qualifications to your needs:
- Membership in a local Board, State Association, and the National Association of Realtors®. Every CRS is part of a much larger network of real estate professionals.
- Successful completion of the courses leading to the Certified Residential Specialist designation - one of the most successful residential real estate educationsl programs in the country. Every CRS is a real estate professional equipped with special expertise, thanks to advanced study in listing, selling, investment, taxes and more.
- A history of demonstrated sales performance through the documented execution of residential sales transactions.
What this means is that when you work with a CRS, you're working with someone who is more knowledgeable, and more experienced.

What is ABR?
|
|
This designation indicates that I have completed the National Association of
Realtor's buyer agency course which closely examines how the agent can best represent a buyer considering (among others)
the legal ramifiations, buyer education, market conditions, contract details, and negotiation tactics. Few agents
have earned it. I also offer you the benefit of having worked with, and negotiated for hundreds of buyers during
my past 19 years as a Realtor.
